Exit load is the fee charged to an investor for exiting and withdrawing the money from a particular scheme within the stipulated time period. Exit load might range from 0.5% - 3% depending on the scheme for any withdrawal before 365 days of the invested amount. Most schemes usually have an exit load of 1% and a stipulated time period of 1 year.
